Animal Rescue Blog

Dear William,

I want to personally thank you for becoming a member of IFAW’s global community.

You are now part of a special network of friends and neighbors committed to working together to build a world in which the well being of animals is protected and respect for nature is a universal value.

Human needs and the needs of wildlife are not separate. In these uncertain times, it is vital that we balance our commitment to animal and habitat protection with a commitment to human welfare.

As a member of the International Fund for Animal Welfare, you have a unique opportunity to prevent cruelty to animals, protect wildlife habitats and rescue animals in crisis. You are a critically important advocate for promoting animal welfare and conservation policies that advance the well being of both animals and people.

Animals and their habitats are not simply resources to be used until they no longer exist. They are our very future.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be introducing you to a few of the diverse programs IFAW works on around the world to save animals, as well as the amazing people on the ground who make these efforts a success. You can also read about IFAW’s latest Emergency Relief work for animals by visiting the Animal Rescue Blog each day.

Thank you again for becoming a valuable member of the world's leading international animal welfare organization. Keep an eye on your inbox for the latest IFAW action alerts and newsletters, filled with the animals and issues compassionate individuals like you care about.

Thanks for all you do,

Fred O’Regan
President and CEO

P.S. The easiest way to have an immediate impact on protecting the animals you love is to invite a friend to become part of the IFAW community. Every new voice we add to our network around the world builds a better future for both animals and people.
