Siddharth Nagrajan-Indias Youngest Drummer-Photos





There is a genius in each of us just waiting to explode!

What do a a classically trained singer from Mumbai and a percussionists of South Indian music
have in common? Siddharth Nagarajan featured on “My Brilliant Brain” on National Geographic channel.

India has vast numbers of brilliant children. There are more honor students
in India than the total population of US children!

Siddharth was born on 25th September 1997 in Chennai to Vidya and Nagi. Siddharth has always been amidst music, hailing from a family of musicians. His grandfather G.Narayanan is a tablist who worked with the legendary cine music director Sri K.V. Mahadevan for more than 45 years.

His father Nagarajan (Nagi as he is popularly known), is one of the most sought after percussionists of the South Indian music industry today. He is the rhythm programmer for several music directors including Shri Vidyasagar, S.A.Rajkumar, Anu Malik to name a few.

His mother, Vidya is a classically trained singer who hails from Mumbai. She has been singing for the last 25 years. She runs her own music troupe catering to weddings and corporates.

His sister Dhanashree is also a good singer who has many awards and prizes to her credit. Siddharth is presently in Class III in Padma Seshadri School (K.K.Nagar).

Siddharth is a born musician. “He responded to music as soon as he was born when music was customarily played in the labour room”, says his mother proudly. He continued to display his craving for rhythm as he grew.

Individuals should apply to only one program as there are limited resources to serve many families in
need.
*Several agencies that provide assistance during the holiday season provide assistance only
to established clients and therefore are not listed.
Suggestions for Christmas Assistance
Anyone needing Christmas assistance should be encouraged to speak to their social worker or case
manager if they have one. They should also be encouraged to contact their local multi-service center
and/or any places of worship that they are a member of. Also if they belong to a civic organization they
should contact them as well. If the caller has school age children suggest that they call the school social
worker.
MARION COUNTY
Channel 6/Gleaners Toy Line – 317-977-1750
The toy line opens on Thanksgiving Day. Enrollment is from Dec. 1 to Dec. 5th, 2008. The toy line
number will list toy drive application sites where clients can apply. All applicants should reside in the
boundary area in which they apply. Applicants outside of Marion County should apply at the nearest
participating agency. Applications will be screened through United Christmas Service. Clients who are
being served by the donor program will not get any additional toys, but clients who submitted general
applications can still be served by the Toy Drive. Applicants must bring picture ID for themselves and
Social Security numbers for all household members. Applicants also need to bring birth certificates for
all children who will be receiving toys. Clients should choose one location and apply in person. Each
agency will post the date and time of their toy distribution.

Mon., Tues., Thurs, Fri. 9:30am-noon starting Nov. 1, 2008. Offering food baskets and possibly toys
for children ages newborn to 18 years. Also providing fruit baskets and blankets to senior citizens.
Applicants MUST LIVE IN THE BOUNDARY AREA of MARTINDALE BRIGHTWOOD. Applicants
must provide social security cards for all adult members in the home, proof of address, birth certificates
for the children. Distribution will be Dec. 22, 2008. Boundaries are north to 30th St., south to I-70,
east to Sherman Dr and west to Cornell Ave. in Marion County.
