Peter Paul & Mary lyrics - Blowin in the wind -Photos

Peter Paul and Mary - Blowin in the wind

Artist (Band):Peter, Paul and Mary
How many roads must a man walk down
Before they call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
How many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years must a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
How many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
How many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
How many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
How many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Mary Travers was voice of an era

" The passing of Mary Travers leaves me in great sorrow. I had the privilege of seeing Peter, Paul and Mary at Starlight Theatre a few years ago. They became the troubadours of a very turbulent ’60s, singing protest songs, participating in marches and vocalizing what so many Americans felt but couldn’t put into words.

Most children these days do not know “Puff (The Magic Dragon),” which is a significant indicator of how shallow we have become. Turbulent times come now again. The call goes out to those young, intelligent songmeisters to pick up the hammer, fill the void and refine our protests in song. "
