I commend Martha for creating this very well written petition. She has persevered creating this petition. Congratulations Martha. Job well done.
Petition for THE VOICE OF PULMONARY FIBROSIS
I signed this petition for I am disabled as many of you already know. What you may not fully understand is that the system fails on most levels to address the underlying issues of the disabled. The current system band aids the problems, masking the real concerns and pushing the disabled to the side to be abandoned by society. However, on Care2, we feel differently, for all life is valued. We're just as important as any other life form, so I urge you to sign this very important petition and to forward this unto your friends.
This is how I signed:
I do not suffer from this debilitating disease, but I too am disabled and know how those with disabilities are discarded so easily. The agencies that work with the disabled do not care for the welfare of the clients they work with. Too much documentation is required to receive the appropriate support. I urge you to rectify this problem and create support systems that enable and empower those whom fall to this disease and other disabling factors in life. Thank you for taking each life as a gift. For those who seek your help is your evaluation, how will you pass your evaluation helping others?
The following link provides information on this disease, please take the time to read this, would you want a significant other to be subjected to this or think of yourself coming down with this and living with this your remaining days of your life. Think about it.
