Peter Paul & Mary lyrics - Blowin in the wind -Photos
Peter Paul and Mary - Blowin in the wind
Artist (Band):Peter, Paul and Mary
How many roads must a man walk down
Before they call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
How many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
How many years must a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
How many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
How many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
How many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
How many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
Mary Travers was voice of an era
" The passing of Mary Travers leaves me in great sorrow. I had the privilege of seeing Peter, Paul and Mary at Starlight Theatre a few years ago. They became the troubadours of a very turbulent ’60s, singing protest songs, participating in marches and vocalizing what so many Americans felt but couldn’t put into words.
Most children these days do not know “Puff (The Magic Dragon),” which is a significant indicator of how shallow we have become. Turbulent times come now again. The call goes out to those young, intelligent songmeisters to pick up the hammer, fill the void and refine our protests in song. "

500 MILES
Hedy West © Atzal Music, Inc. - BMI
If you miss the train I'm on, you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles,
a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles,
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.
Lord I'm one, Lord I'm two, Lord I'm three, Lord I'm four,
Lord I'm 500 miles from my home.
500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles
Lord I'm five hundred miles from my home.
Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name
Lord I can't go a-home this a-way
This a-away, this a-way, this a-way, this a-way,
Lord I can't go a-home this a-way.
If you miss the train I'm on you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles.

Taylor Swift Gets Too Many Questions About Kanye West VMA Interruption
Kanye West's interruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday remains a hot media topic, five days later. Swift talked about the issue during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show on Friday morning (September 18) and was asked to talk about it a bit more than she wanted to in an interview with a Tampa Bay, Florida, DJ.
With Seacrest, Swift talked about everything from winning a VMA as a country artist to whether she'll write a song about the VMA incident.
"Well, I think that in order to write a song about something, I have to have clarity and be completely sure, and I'm not there yet," she told Seacrest about the possibility that she may write a song about West. (She wrote the song "Forever & Always" about her breakup with Jonas Brother Joe Jonas.)
As for the VMA win, she said she's "really proud to bring the first VMA home to Nashville. [It's good] to know there's a Moonman on its way to Nashville." She also spoke about the outpouring of kindness to her in the wake of the incident.
"I got flowers from Janet Jackson!" Swift said. "It was the nicest card ever — I took a picture of it! But it was really, really nice, and everyone was really sweet to me this week."
The interview with Seacrest went a lot smoother than one she did on Thursday with Tampa Bay radio station 93.3 FLZ. Radio host MJ persistently asked Swift about the incident after she'd answered his initial questions and repeatedly but politely asked him to move onto another subject.
"Well, you know, I think that the outpouring of love is what I focus on about that whole thing, and getting flowers from Janet Jackson is something that I never thought would happen in my whole life," she initially answered. "Just everybody being supportive and showing love, it was really nice [to know] people I didn't even think knew who I was were out there having my back and being really very kind to me."
After MJ, who also had Miley Cyrus abruptly end an interview with him in June, asked about it several times, she very politely said: "You know, honestly, I'm trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is. It's kind of become more of a bigger deal than I thought it would be. I would just like to move on a little bit. ... I didn't know what to think but I think we should talk about something else. It's nothing I feel like we should talk about."
After yet another question, she handed the phone to her rep and moved on herself — to another interview.
The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards might have wrapped, but the party is far from over. Stay tuned for behind-the-scenes updates, party reports and much more.

Jay-Z on Kanye West's Taylor Swift dis
Jay-Z defended Kanye West to a British radio station, saying his outburst at the VMAs was 'rude,' but 'he didn't kill anybody.'
Fellow rapper Jay-Z told a British radio station that while West's now infamous interruption of Taylor Swift at MTV's Video Music Awards on Sunday was "rude" and "inappropriate at the time," his behavior didn't warrant the overwhelmingly negative backlash it received, according to bbc.co.uk.
"He didn't kill anybody," Jay-Z told the station, adding that West is "just a super-passionate person."
"Of course it was rude because it was (Swift's) moment, but that's the way he really felt. I think it was rude but the way they're treating him. He's on the cover of every paper. He didn't kill anybody. No one got harmed."
West drew the ire of music industry colleagues, fans and even President Obama when he jumped onstage during Swift's acceptance speech and grabbed the mic from her, telling the Radio City crowd that Beyonce - Jay-Z's wife - should have won the award for Best Female Video instead.
A contrite West later apologized.
Jay-Z, who collaborated with West on Jay-Z's new CD, "The Blueprint 3," is in England for a concert at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
Funny Kanye West interruption videos
All the videos on YouTube of Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift at MTV's Video Music Awards were mysteriously pulled from YouTube earlier this week.
But what has survived are some very funny Kanye West interruption spoofs.
At the top of the post is one of Kanye interrupting Usher.
And here's another, of Kanye interrupting the movie "Scream."
Kanye West interrupting former President George W. Bush (complete with flying shoes).
And finally, Kanye West interrupting President Barack Obama's healthcare speech.

Patrick Swayze, 1952-2009
Though he was nominated for three golden Globes over the course of his 30-year career, Patrick Swayze measured his success by lives touched, not money made or awards won. “No matter what opinion Hollywood has of you,” Swayze once told Entertainment Weekly, “the fans never forget you if you never forget them.”
On September 14, at the age of 57, Swayze died after an extraordinarily brave and dignified 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Swayze had initially responded well to treatment, and spent four months working 12-hour days on the A&E undercover drama The Beast while undergoing chemotherapy. He refused to take medication that might hinder what would become his final onscreen performance – even though the pain became intense. After he passed away, tributes have poured in from friends and colleagues. “Patrick was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace,” recalled his Dirty Dancing costar Jennifer Grey.
The first hints of Swayze’s stardom emerged in his 1987 breakout film, Dirty Dancing. After that film’s success, Swayze was offered everything from a cologne deal to a record contract. But he was determined not to be pigeonholed as a gyrating boy toy. He sought cover in action films that let him run in what he called “crazy Swayze adrenaline-junkie mode.” The movies that he chose appealed to the side of him that was a self-proclaimed “searcher.” To Swayze, Road House showcased the beauty of martial arts via a bouncer with a philosophy degree from New York University.
Ghost brought him greater fame and accolades, but these were also years of personal turmoil. Swayze did a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse in 1993, and his sister Vicky committed suicide the following year. By the mid-’90s, he was ready to work again and was focused on playing interesting characters instead of the usual action heroes and dreamboats. The actor made what he later jokingly called “a conscious decision to have a great time screwing up my career.” His next movies were surprising and revealed new colors to his acting. He played the proud and elegant drag queen in To Wong Foo, and a closeted pedophile in the cult hit Donnie Darko. Supporting Darko at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001, he explained, “In my career, when you get offered an absolute fortune for crap, your insides start screaming for some kind of fulfillment. When I started meeting with some of these young filmmakers, the passion was restored in my life…This is the fifth reinvention of Patrick Swayze.”
Swayze’s hard-fought battle may be over, but his story hasn’t ended. On September 29, Atria will publish Swayze’s inspirational memoir, The Time of My Life, co-written with his wife. “Dance is a metaphor for life,” Swayze told EW in 2005. “You’re born. You peak. Your physical body goes downhill, but your spirit stays intact.”

Kanye West, Lady Gaga Announce Your “Fame Kills” Dates
Photo: Strauss/WireImage
So much for Kanye West’s admittedly much-needed break from work: after stunning the Video Music Awards by storming the stage during Taylor Swift’s Best Female Video acceptance speech, he revealed on last night’s Jay Leno Show premiere that he hadn’t really taken time to mourn the loss of his mother, Donda, who died in November 2007. “I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour,” he said.
Yet West has announced another tour: the full slate of dates for his “Fame Kills Starring Kanye West and Lady Gaga” trek have been confirmed (full list is after the jump). West’s road companion — recent RS cover star Gaga — also had a big night at the VMAs: she stunned the crowd with her trademark out-of-this-world outfits and a bloody performance of “Paparazzi,” and took home a Best New Artist award.
Their joint trek launches November 10th in Phoenix, Arizona and stretches into 2010. Presale for the “Fame Kills” tour, which doesn’t leave a major media market unvisited, begins tomorrow, September 16th, while the general onsale kicks off September 19th.
Considering half of the United States is pretty peeved at West right now, the timing of the presale isn’t ideal. As Rolling Stone previously reported, despite Kanye’s thicker resume of outrageous VMA moments and a couple more Grammys on his mantle, the rapper insists that he and Gaga will share equal billing on the trek. “She’s talented and so incredible that she’s not an opening act. We’re doing it together, with no opening act,” West said.

Drake, Forever Lyrics - Photos
Drake, Forever Lyrics
[Chorus]
It may not mean nothing to yall
But understand nothing was done for me
So I don’t plan on stopping at all
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man
I’m shutting shit down at the mall
And telling every girl she the one for me
And I aint even planning to call
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man, ever man
[Drake]
Last name ever
First name greatest
Like a sprained ankle boy ain’t nothing to play with
It started off local but thanks to all the haters
I know G4 pilots on a first name basis
And your city faded off to brown, Nino
She insists she got more class, we know
Swimming in the money come and find me, Nemo
If I was at the club you know I ball, chemo
Drop the mixtape that shit sounded like an album
Who’d have thought a country wide tour would be the outcome
Labels want my name beside the X like Malcolm
Everybody got a deal, I did it without one
Yeah nigga I’m about my business
Killing all these rappers you would swear I had a hit list
Everybody who doubted me is asking for forgiveness
If you aint been a part of it at least you got to witness
Bitches
[Chorus]
It may not mean nothing to yall
But understand nothing was done for me
So I don’t plan on stopping at all
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man
I’m shutting shit down at the mall
And telling every girl she the one for me
And I aint even planning to call
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man, ever man
[Kanye West]
I used to have hood dreams
Big fame, big chains
I stuck my dick inside this life until that bitch came
I went hard all fall like the ball teams
Just so I can make it rain all spring
Y’all seen my story my glory
I had raped the game young
You can call it statutory
When a nigga blow up they can build statures of me
Old money Benjamin Button, whaat, nuttin
Now superbad chicks giving me McLovin
You would think I ran the world like Michelle’s husband
You would think these niggas would know me when they really doesn’t
Like they was down with the old me no you fucking wasn’t
You’re such a fucking loser
He didn’t even go to class Bueller
Trade the Grammy plaques just to have my granny back
Remember she had that bad hip like a fanny pack
Chasing that stardom would turn you into a maniac
All the way in Hollywood and I can’t even act
They pull their cameras out and God damn they snap
I used to want this thing forever yall can have it back
[Chorus]
It may not mean nothing to yall
But understand nothing was done for me
So I don’t plan on stopping at all
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man
I’m shutting shit down at the mall
And telling every girl she the one for me
And I aint even planning to call
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man, ever man
[Lil Wayne]
Ok, hello it's da Martian
Space jam Jordan’s
I want this shit forever wake up and smell the garden
Fresher than the harvest
Step up to the target
If I had one guess than I guess I’m just New Orleans
And I will never stop like I’m running from the cops
Hop up in my car and told my chauffeur to the top
Life is such a fucking roller coaster then it drops
But what should I scream for this is my theme park
My minds shine even when my thoughts seem dark
Pistol on my side you don’t wanna hear that thing talk
Let the king talk check the price and pay attention
Lil Wayne that’s what they got to say or mention
I’m like Nevada in the middle of the summer
I’m resting in the lead I need a pillow and a cover
Shhh, my foots sleeping on the gas
No brake pads, no such thing as last
[Chorus]
It may not mean nothing to yall
But understand nothing was done for me
So I don’t plan on stopping at all
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man
I’m shutting shit down at the mall
And telling every girl she the one for me
And I aint even planning to call
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man, ever man
[Eminem]
There they go, back in stadiums as Shady spits his flow
Nuts they go, macadamia they go so ballistic, whoa
We can make them look like Boso’s
He’s wondering if he should spit this slow
Fuck no! Go for broke
His cup just runneth over, oh no
He ain’t had a real buzz like this since the last time that he overdosed
They’ve been waiting patiently for Pinocchio to poke his nose
Back into the game and they know
Rap will never be the same as before
Bashing in the brains of these hoes
And establishing a name as he goes
The passion and the flame is ignited
You can’t put it out once we light it
This shit is exactly what the fuck that I’m talking about when we riot
You dealin’ with a few true villains
Whose stand inside of the booth truth spillin’
And spit true feelings, until our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths
Now rewind it!
Payback muthafucka for the way that you got at me, so how’s it taste?
When I slap the taste out your mouth with the bass so loud that it shakes the place
I’m Hannibal Lecter so just in case you’re thinking of saving face
You ain’t gonna have no face to save by the time I’m through with this place
So Drake…
[Chorus]
It may not mean nothing to yall
But understand nothing was done for me
So I don’t plan on stopping at all
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man
I’m shutting shit down at the mall
And telling every girl she the one for me
And I aint even planning to call
I want this shit forever man, ever man, ever man, ever man

Kanye West - Love Lockdown Lyrics
Play me like a fool.
I’m in love with you
But you treat me like,
Like I’m not that dude.
Spend my time with you,
Say you’re still confused.
And it’s your second time,
Call you déjà vu.
I done had enough
You too extra
Bout to put on by shoes,
Walk away my love
Here’s the version of
What her man set up
This is the remix, let me flow.
I got things to do
Got no time for games
Used to be my shine,
Now the seasons changed.
Now I’m up in this club
With this drink in my cup
And my attitude is: I don’t give a what! (what)
[Chorus]
So keep your love locked down, your love locked down
Keepin your love locked down, your love locked down
Couldn’t keep our love locked down, our love locked down
Keep our love locked down, you lose!
I’m not lovin you
The way I wanted to
I can’t keep my cool
So I keep it true
I got something to lose
So I gotta move
I can’t keep myself, and still keep you too.
Girl remember the time
How we used to be
Like a Vegas night, on a winning streak
And now you got me out in front of this club
All these cars and people, bout to make a scene.
Girl went out my way, to save you.
I’d do anything, ‘fore I let this world hurt you.
I would die for you
I would die for you
I would die for you
But you lose (you lose)
[Chorus]
So keep your love locked down, your love locked down
Keepin your love locked down, your love locked down
Couldn’t keep our love locked down, our love locked down
Couldn’t keep our love locked down, you lose!
Uh huh
If you’re bored girl, we can blow this club
If you’re sweaty girl, we can get in my tub
If you’re hungry girl, I’ll get you something to eat
If you want me girl, then I will be your freak.
But if you wanna stay, we’ll be here all night
Take a couple more shots, wyle out in here all night
Throw our fingers up, like we own this club
We got tops off in here, show some c’s off in here
[Chorus]
So keep your love locked down, your love locked down
Keepin your love locked down, your love locked down
Now keep your love locked down, your love locked down
Now keep your love locked down, you lose! (You lose)
So keep your love locked down, your love locked down (you lose)
Keep your love locked down, your love like ooh! (You lose)
Keep your love locked down, your love like ooh! (You lose)
Keep your love locked down, your love like ooh! (You lose)

Songs in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Guitar Hero III features 73 songs on the game's media; this includes the 39 single-player songs, three "Boss Battle" songs, six co-op career exclusive songs, and 25 bonus songs. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions support downloadable content in the form of new songs for the game. As of September 12, 2008, there are 59 songs available as downloadable content for both platforms, bringing the total number of available songs for these versions to 132. Four downloadable songs were only available for a limited time. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions each had an exclusive song.
Guitar Hero III features 73 songs spread across both the Solo and Co-Op Career modes.[1] These songs are arranged in eight sequential tiers based on their relative difficulty. The player(s) must complete some or all of the songs in one tier (based on the career difficulty selected), including the Encore, to access the next one. During the Solo Career mode, the player will also encounter three Boss Battles, a new mode introduced in Guitar Hero III, at the ends of three tiers as listed below, prior to performing the Encore song. The player must attempt the Boss Battle three times, but after the third time the player has the option of passing the Boss Battle in order to continue progression in the game. However, this option is only available for the first two boss battles (Slash and Tom Morello), Lou has to be beaten to finish the game. In Co-Op Career mode, the players only perform the first six tiers, do not encounter any Boss Battles, and have different Encore songs from the Solo Career mode.[2]
Once a tier is open at any difficulty level, all songs except the Encores and Boss Battle songs become available for all other game modes; the Encore songs become available once they are completed. The three Boss Battle songs are not playable outside of Solo Career mode. However, these songs were available as free downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. All songs (except Boss Battles) can be unlocked for all modes through special cheat codes for the game, as to, for example, allow a solo player to access the Co-Op Encore songs without having to play through Co-Op mode.
Downloadable songs
Both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 version of Guitar Hero III feature the ability to download additional songs from the consoles' respective online stores. Most songs must be purchased in "track packs" of three and cannot be purchased individually while only some songs are available as "singles." There are a number of free songs available. The downloadable songs have been released on the same day on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store, with five exceptions. Besides the two console-exclusive songs, the three songs from the Companion Pack were not released for the PlayStation 3 until August 7, 2008.
